Roadmap Engagement Type: 1-Year Audit Overview

Purpose: The current Roadmap engagement type has been “live” since June 2023. Having reached its 1-year mark, the CI Team will leverage existing quantitative and qualitative data, as well as engage stakeholders across the Sales & Marketing, Consulting Services, and Client Experience teams, to complete an audit of the Roadmap engagement type to gauge effectiveness, success rate of Roadmap to implementation or upgrade, and opportunities for continuous improvement. 

Objectives: 

  • Gather and report on quantitative and qualitative indicators of Roadmap engagement type success and effectiveness since it launched in June 2023 to now (2024 Q3) 

  • Compile themes based on quantitative and qualitative data to inform opportunities for refinement, and to continue improving how we communicate the value of Roadmaps to prospects, clients, and internally 

  • Identify opportunities to update and improve current templates and tools used during Roadmaps, as well as opportunities for new templates, tools, and samples to support team members in selling and delivering Roadmaps; adding them to the Playbook & Artifacts backlog for execution 

  • Review the process of onboarding team members to Roadmaps and identify opportunities to improve the process, templates, and training materials for guiding team members in beginning a Roadmap engagement 

  • Further clarify the difference between Roadmaps, Assessments, and Envisioning Workshops as offerings / engagement types and work across Sales, Marketing, Consulting Services, and Client Experience to identify sales enablement materials that can be updated or created to support team members in differentiating and talking to prospects and clients about each 

Anticipated Timeline: This audit process is expected to be complete by end of Q3 2024 (September 30).

Deliverables: 

  • A report on perceived and actual Roadmap engagement type success, value, and effectiveness since it launched in June 2023 based on quantitative and qualitative data from the past year 

  • List of existing content, templates, tools, and/or training materials that need to be updated based on audit results (and added to the Playbook & Artifacts Backlog for execution) 

  • List of new content, templates, or tools that need to be created or sourced based on audit results (and added to the Playbook & Artifacts Backlog for execution) 

  • Documentation and list of new or updated sales enablement materials needed to support team members in differentiating and talking to prospects and clients about Roadmaps, Assessments, and Envisioning Workshops as distinct offering types
