Roadmap Engagement Type: 1-Year Audit
Roadmap Engagement Type: 1-Year Audit
In June 2023, Stoneridge completed an internal review and validation effort on the Roadmap engagement via the Roadmap Process Validation initiative. We worked across different areas of the business to define what a Roadmap is, identifying the goals of a Roadmap engagement, defining key outputs, and gaining alignment on things like terminology, processes, and expectations for Stoneridge and the client.
In Q3 of this year, the Continuous Improvement Team performed an audit of the Roadmap Engagement Type. We took a look into Stoneridge's execution of the aligned processes over the last year, gathering team member feedback on their experiences executing a Roadmap, and ultimately identified actions for ongoing improvement and increased effectiveness based on findings.
The Report
The Roadmap 1-Year Audit Report contains an overview of both quantitative and qualitative data that shares insights on:
How Roadmap projects are performing from a budget perspective;
Potential implications for follow-up engagements (post-Rodamaps);
Team member experience when it comes to onboarding for Roadmap projects, understanding what resources are available to support them, and delivering the intended outputs.
The report provides a high-level overview of already-complete action items pertaining to the Roadmap audit, and a preview of next steps for continuous improvement.
For your convenience, a supplementary recording has been made to walk through the report, as well as provide some context around the inputs that contributed to this report and examples of action items that have come out of this audit process.

Thank you to the PMO for providing project performance data, along with their analysis and insights on how we can continue to refine our approach to Roadmap processes in a practical way.
The Learning & Development team (with a special shoutout to Cassidy Fields for her beautiful presentation of data on Ascend learning usage!) helped us gain insight into the Ascend Roadmap learning content engagement--creating the opportunity to think through how we can provide additional resources to support our team members.
And of course, a massive kudos to our team members who have delivered our Roadmap engagements, shared their experiences, and provided feedback in a constructive way to help assist in our continuous improvement efforts.
What's Next?
We look forward to actioning ongoing internal improvement efforts for the Roadmap engagement via the Playbook & Artifacts Workstream, where we will continue working on the action items coming out of this audit.
