Proven Process Baselining Friday Update - 1/5

This is your weekly update on the Proven Process Baselining initiative – see below for progress in the three Phase 2 workstreams.

This week in the ADO Usage & Standardization workstream, we:

  • Continued work on ADO templates and Solution Blueprint updates based on topics discussed in the team sessions, in preparation for next week’s cross-functional validation.

  • Began work on impact assessments for each team based on outcomes from the recent team sessions.

  • Continued planning for Round 2, with more details to be shared on what to expect during next Friday’s (1/12) cross-functional validation session.

This week in the Artifacts & Playbook Updates workstream, we:

  • Continued work on the phase overview transition decks and project role & responsibility workbooks based on feedback from the Sprint 2 validation, with the goal of uploading to the Playbook by 1/19.

  • Continued collecting feedback on the Sprint 3 item for validation sent to the group involved with this workstream on 12/22. As a reminder for those involved in this workstream, the feedback window for Sprint 3 closes on 1/12.

This week in the Awareness, Education & Reinforcement workstream, we:

  • Completed a draft of the master Proven Process Refresh plan for 2024, and will be meeting with each team throughout the next two weeks to review and discuss team-specific activities based on the initial planning meetings and master plan.

Reminders:

  • Billable team members: please log time spent on Proven Process Baselining to the following new coding based on the Evolution to Billable Hours initiative:

    • Project Name: Continuous Improvement Initiatives (2024)

    • Project ID: VA-2024-ContImprov

    • Activity: Proven Process Baselining

Let Grace, Emily, or I know if there are questions. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things with the new year and jumping back into this work with everyone.
