Proven Process Baselining Friday Update - 1/26

This is your weekly update on the Proven Process Baselining initiative – see below for progress in the three Phase 2 workstreams.

This week in the ADO Usage & Standardization workstream, we:

• Continued the feedback window for team members to review the Solution Blueprint Workbook updates and ADO templates by 2/2.

• Continued the PM-focused prep sessions as part of this workstream’s Round 2, that will begin for the larger involved group in mid-February.

• Scheduled the Round 2 Kickoff with the larger group in this workstream, for Monday, 2/12.

This week in the Artifacts & Playbook Updates workstream, we:

• Continued work on items in scope for Sprint 4 (see the attached email).

• Received feedback on a Transition to Support process section in the Playbook, in preparation for publishing by end of January.

• Added consistently formatted descriptions for the following roles in the “Foundational Concepts” section of the Playbook: Pre-Sales Architect, Sales Executive, Engagement Manager, Project Manager, Solution Architect, Functional Consultant, QA Consultant, Technical Architect, Developer, Technical Consultant, Data Migration Consultant, Client Success Manager, and Dedicated Support Consultant. These additions were reviewed, updated based on feedback, and validated as part of Sprint 3 in this workstream.

• Continued work on the phase overview transition decks and project role & responsibility workbook templates. We’re aiming to publish these by end of month – it’s just a time-consuming process with the attention to detail it requires.

This week in the Proven Process Refresh workstream, we:

• Finished follow up meetings with each team’s leaders to review the draft Proven Process Refresh master plan for 2024. We are finalizing the plan with team-specific activities and will send to this group (and the broader manager group for client-facing teams) next week.

• Continued preparation to facilitate Proven Process sessions during the Academy in February.

• Continued preparation for two in-person Proven Process Refresh sessions for Project Managers in February, as the first part of the overall Proven Process Refresh plan for the year.

Reminders / Updates:

• Moving forward, the title of the “Awareness, Education & Reinforcement” workstream will be “Proven Process Refresh” for simplicity.

• Billable team members: please log time spent on Proven Process Baselining to the following new coding based on the Evolution to Billable Hours initiative:
