Organizational Change Management in the Playbook
Organizational Change Management in the Playbook
OCM at Stoneridge
Following the company-wide Proven Process Refresh and the Refresh for Leaders series, the topic of Organizational Change Management (OCM) and how we can better support our team members in incorporating these elements into client-facing projects emerged as a critical area of discussion.
While the Proven Process serves as a foundation to help us deliver value to our clients, work successfully together as a team, and help us solve key challenges throughout the project, the incorporation of OCM is essential for guiding clients through transitions to ensure that new strategies, processes, and technologies are more effectively implemented, while helping clients recognize and realize the value of these engagements.
Who engages in OCM?
This past month, OCM content in the Playbook underwent a review with updates to content, roles, common activities, and resources to reflect current Proven Process Baselining definitions and roles and responsibilities, and to better meet the needs of our team members at Stoneridge to contribute to project and client success.
While many of the updated activities and content are now listed under the Engagement Manager role, it's important to recognize that everyone on the project team contributes to positive client outcomes and can embed Change Management into their regular ways of working and are invited to engage with the available resources as well.
What's new in the Playbook, and what resources are available?
All OCM updates can be found in the Project Types section of the Playbook.
BC Net New, CE Net New, and F&O Net New Implementation Project Types have been updated to archive out-of-date OCM activities/roles and include the following new activities, which can be found under the Engagement Manager (BC, F&O) or Project Management Team (CE) roles:
